Kevin Snyder

Director of Community Development at City Of Indio

Kevin Snyder is currently the Director of Community Development at City Of Indio. Prior to this, Kevin was the Community Development Director at City of Fairfield, California from February 2018 to February 2019. Kevin has also served as a member of the City's Executive Leadership Team.

Kevin has overseen efforts of the Department leadership team to transform departmental corporate culture, improve client satisfaction and enhance work flow efficiencies in five primary function areas comprised of Administration, Building Services, Economic Development Services, Fairfield Housing Authority and Planning Services. Kevin has also directed new investments in staffing and innovation to balance workload demands, implement continuous process improvement practices and enhance technology utilization for enhanced service delivery.

In addition, Kevin has managed disposition of public property assets for return on investment, job creation and property tax and sales tax growth. Kevin has also overseen a multi-disciplinary working group pursuing policy, financial and process strategies and actions to achieve increased affordable housing.

Kevin Snyder has a Masters in Urban & Regional Planning from Portland State University and a BA in Political Science from Linfield University. Kevin is also AICP Certified from the American Institute of Certified Planners.

Their manager is Scott Trujillo, Deputy City Manager. Luis Cerros - Supervising Plans Examiner, Ruben Franz - Building Inspector Supervisor, and (Acting) Senior Planner - VACANT report to Kevin Snyder. They are on a team with Ian Cozen - Director of Information Technology, Dennis Day - Emergency OP. Center Manager, and Andrew Ansoorian - Director of HR & Risk Management.
