Mike Manzella

Mike Manzella is the Director of Transportation Planning for the City of Jersey City since March 2022, leading efforts to develop a safe and efficient transportation system while prioritizing safety and equity. Previously, Mike served as Deputy City Manager in Asbury Park from November 2016 to March 2022, managing daily operations, budget oversight, and inter-departmental coordination. Additional experience includes roles as Director of Transportation in Asbury Park, where Mike managed municipal transportation services, and as a Transportation Planner at T&M Associates, focusing on sustainable infrastructure and transportation planning. Mike holds a Master’s degree in City and Regional Planning with a concentration in Transportation Planning and Policy from Rutgers University and a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Management from Stevens Institute of Technology.
