Mike Steigerwald

City Manager at City of Kissimmee

Mike Steigerwald is the current City Manager at City of Kissimmee. Mike has over 20 years of experience in public administration and community development.

Steigerwald began their career as a Community Development Assistant with Kensington-Bailey Neighborhood Housing Services. In this role, they assisted with the development and implementation of programs to improve the quality of life for residents of the Kensington-Bailey community.

In 2011, Steigerwald was assigned by the City of Kissimmee to serve as executive director for the Florida PACE Funding Agency. The Agency provides long-term financing for structural improvements that encourage renewable generation, energy efficiency and wind-resistance to property owners via special assessments.

As City Manager, Steigerwald is responsible for the overall management of the City of Kissimmee. Mike is committed to improving the quality of life for all residents of Kissimmee and making the city a great place to live, work and raise a family.

Mike Steigerwald has a Master of Urban Planning from University at Buffalo, as well as a Bachelor's degree from the same school. Mike also has a Certificate in Disaster Preparedness and Response; and Recovery Planning from the Emergency Management Institute, U.S. Federal Emergency Management Agency, Emmitsburg, MD. In addition, they are a 1995 graduate of Leadership Osceola County, and is certified by both the ICMA - International City/County Management Association as a Credentialed Manager (ICMA-CM), and by the American Institute of Certified Planners as an AICP Certified planner.
