Shannon Torcato

Shannon Torcato is an accomplished professional with diverse experience in event management and engineering. Currently serving as an Information Officer and Event Lead for the City of Kitchener since May 2023, Shannon has successfully led large-scale events for over 10,000 guests while managing a team of more than 7 professionals. As a Search Engine Optimization Consultant for Tech Trail SEO since September 2023, Shannon applies expertise in digital marketing. Previous experience includes working as Event Staff at the University of Waterloo, where event organization catered to over 1,500 spectators, and as a Biomedical Engineer Intern at Healthway Hospital Goa, achieving significant improvements in medical equipment performance and maintenance. Shannon holds a Master of Engineering in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Waterloo and a Bachelor of Technology in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from Vellore Institute of Technology.
