Colin Parent

Colin Parent is a candidate for the California State Assembly, 79th District, currently campaigning since April 2023. Serving as the Chief Executive Officer and General Counsel of Circulate San Diego since November 2014, Colin Parent advocates for housing, affordability, and mobility in the region, previously holding positions as Executive Director and Policy Counsel within the organization. Colin has also been a City Councilmember for La Mesa, CA, since December 2016 and has held various significant roles in the public sector, including Director of Policy at the San Diego Housing Commission and Director for External Affairs at the California Department of Housing and Community Development. Colin Parent earned a J.D. from New York University School of Law and a B.A. in Political Science from UC San Diego.
