Icma-Cm Yvonne Garrett

Yvonne Garrett, ICMA-CM, has served as the City Manager for the City of La Mesa since July 2016, following a promotion to Assistant City Manager/Director of Community Services in February 2010. With a role that entails acting as the Chief Executive Officer for the City, Yvonne implements the policy direction set by the La Mesa City Council and provides support across various city departments. Prior to their tenure at La Mesa, Yvonne was the Executive Director of the Alpine Community Center from 1983 to 2000. Yvonne holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and English from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania and a Master's degree in Public Administration from Ashford University in Clinton, Iowa.
