Lamia Haque is a Design Engineer at Pasco Laret Suiter & Associates since July 2022 and an Engineering Intern at the City of La Mesa, CA since September 2021. During the internship, Lamia designed traffic striping plans and fiber optic conduits using Civil 3D, sketched utility lines with CAD, updated geographic information with ArcGIS, and interpreted traffic request details through Cartegraph. Previously, Lamia served as the Social Chair for the Society of Civil and Structural Engineering (SCSE) at UC San Diego, organizing events and a mentorship program, and interned at HNTB where analyses and modifications were made for the Honolulu Rail Transit Project. Other experience includes working as a VR Operations Specialist at Omniverse VR and serving as Local Campaign Director for Californians for Justice, leading successful student engagement campaigns. Lamia holds a Bachelor of Science in Structural Engineering from UC San Diego.
