Nidia L. Ruelas

Nidia L. Ruelas is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in public administration and economic development. Currently serving as the Assistant to the City Manager at the City of Lake Forest, California, since January 2019, Nidia has held roles including Senior Management Analyst and Management Analyst, with responsibilities encompassing research on affordable housing policies, drafting memoranda and agenda reports, and managing social media and marketing initiatives. Prior experience includes serving as a Business Operations Coordinator at JW Plastic Surgery & MedSpa, a Dunn Fellow for Public Engagement and Intergovernmental Affairs in the Office of the Governor of Illinois, and an OIT Learning Spaces Technological Assistant at the University of Notre Dame. Nidia also held leadership as the Student Body Vice President at the University of Notre Dame, co-authoring reports and representing over 8,000 students. Nidia has a Master of Public Administration from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and French from the University of Notre Dame.
