Erik Olson is a seasoned urban planner with extensive experience in long-range planning and community development. Currently serving as Long Range Planning Manager and previously as Senior Planner at the City of Lake Oswego since February 2019, Erik has a solid background in city planning from the NYC Department of City Planning, where the role of City Planner involved liaising with the community in Manhattan's Upper West Side. Prior experience includes project management at the City of Portland and contributions as a Community Planner for Alderwood Community Planning, addressing equity and displacement in rapidly changing neighborhoods. Erik's professional journey is supported by a Master's degree in Urban & Regional Planning from Portland State University and a Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture from California Polytechnic State University.
