Jose Guzman

Jose Guzman is a seasoned professional in aquatic management and recreation services with extensive experience in various leadership roles. Currently serving as Community Service Leader IV and Aquatic Specialist III/Pool Manager for the City of Lakewood since 2018, Jose coordinates comprehensive aquatic programming, conducts safety inspections, and supervises a large team of employees. Previously, positions held include Recreation Services Coordinator-Aquatics for the City of Orange, Aquatics Manager at Waterworks Aquatics, Pool Manager for the County of Riverside, and Supervising Lifeguard for the City of La Mirada. An educational background includes a Master's degree in Recreation Administration and a Bachelor's degree in Outdoor Recreation and Management from California State University, Long Beach, along with an Associate of Arts degree from Long Beach City College.
