Scott Bean has extensive work experience in various roles within the government and political sectors. From 1996 to 2002, they served as a Legislative Assistant in the Michigan House of Representatives. Scott then moved on to become the Chief of Staff for the House Majority Floor Leader's Office from 2003 to 2004. In 2005, they took on the role of Director of Session Operations in the same office. From 2005 to 2006, they worked for the House Majority Caucus Services. In 2006, they became the Campaign Manager for Randy Richardville's State Senate campaign and then served as Richardville's Chief of Staff from 2006 to 2009. From 2011 to 2013, they held various roles in the Michigan Senate, including Deputy Chief of Staff, Director of the Senate Majority Communications Office, and eventually Chief of Staff for Senator Tory Rocca. In 2019, they joined Grassroots Midwest as the Director of Development & Strategic Engagement. Most recently, in 2021, they became the Director of Communications for the City of Lansing, Michigan.
