Jose Osuna serves as a Civil Service Commissioner for the City of Long Beach and has extensive experience in public service and community engagement. Currently, Osuna is the Director of External Affairs and Housing Justice Manager at Brilliant Corners, an organization focused on providing housing solutions for those at risk of homelessness. Additionally, Osuna is involved with various advisory and consulting roles, including as a Commissioner on the Long Beach City Prosecutor's Multi-Cultural Advisory Commission and a member of the Public Safety Realignment Team for the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors. Osuna co-founded Restore INK, which supports formerly incarcerated individuals, and has held leadership positions in several organizations dedicated to workforce development and community reintegration. Educationally, Osuna earned a certification in Photovoltaics from the East Los Angeles Skills Center.
