Michelle Glynn Jackson

Michelle Glynn Jackson has a diverse range of work experience in human resources. Michelle began their career as a Senior Staffing Consultant at Express Employment Professionals in 2005, where they worked until 2009. Michelle then transitioned to Hollins University, where they served as a Human Resources Coordinator from 2009 to 2015. In 2015, they joined the City of Lynchburg as their Human Resources Coordinator and gradually worked their way up to Senior Human Resources Manager until 2020. From 2020 to 2021, they served as the Interim Director of Human Resources, and since September 2021, they have held the position of Director of Human Resources at the City of Lynchburg.

Michelle Glynn Jackson, SPHR has a diverse education history. In 2005, they completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Marketing Management from Virginia Tech - Pamplin College of Business. Following that, in 2014, they obtained an Executive Certificate in Leadership from Hollins University Batten Leadership Institute. In 2016, they furthered their education by earning a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Liberal Studies, with a concentration in Social Sciences from Hollins University. In addition to their degrees, Michelle also holds the certification of SPHR from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI.
