Joshua Baer

Joshua Baer is an experienced law enforcement professional currently serving as a Police Detective with the City of Margate since April 2018, specializing in special investigations and property crimes. Additionally, Joshua has roles in the CISM/Peer Support Team and as an Emergency Management & Operations Specialist, actively participating in significant events such as Hurricane Ian and Hurricane Nicole. Prior positions include Field Training Officer and Police Officer in the patrol division. Joshua has also served as a Field Training Deputy and SWAT Deputy with the Monroe County Sheriff, Site Supervisor at AlliedBarton Security Services, and participated in Naval Special Warfare Candidacy with the US Navy. Previous law enforcement experience includes serving as a Police Officer for the Seminole Tribe of Florida. Joshua holds an Associate of Arts degree in Crisis/Emergency/Disaster Management from Broward College and has pursued further education at the University of Central Florida.
