The Fire Department team at the City of Merced is responsible for protecting lives and property through fire suppression, emergency medical services, and disaster response. Comprising roles such as Fire Engineer, Fire Captain, Firefighters, and Battalion Chiefs while led by the Interim Fire Chief, the team ensures community safety, conducts fire prevention education, and collaborates with other emergency services to respond effectively to crises.
