Shawn Harper has extensive experience in law enforcement, currently serving as a Lieutenant in Community Services for the City of Meridian since July 2004. Responsibilities include overseeing records, School Resource Officers, crime/drug prevention, code enforcement, and crime analysts. Harper has held various positions, including Patrol Officer, Sergeant, and SWAT team member, demonstrating leadership in patrol operations, training, and internal affairs. In addition to law enforcement, Harper owns Informed Safety and Training Solutions, focusing on organizational safety. As Law Enforcement Representative for the Idaho Juvenile Justice Commission, Harper contributes to community safety initiatives, and as Chair of the Treasure Valley School Safety Steering Committee, Harper has developed important safety protocols. Harper also serves as adjunct faculty, educating future law enforcement professionals, and holds a Master of Science in Criminal Justice from California State University, Long Beach.
