James R. Martin

James R. Martin, CPA, currently serves as the Finance Coordinator for the City of Mesquite, where responsibilities include the preparation and reporting for Tax Increment Reinvestment Zones, Public Improvement Districts, and economic incentive agreements. Previously, Martin held positions such as Audit Manager at the City of Fort Worth Internal Audit, managing financial audits and enhancing operational efficiency, and Assistant Director in various roles at the City of Dallas, where tasks ranged from directing Accounts Payable and Payroll divisions to overseeing the Code Compliance Department and improving city services. Martin's extensive experience in financial management, auditing, and operational oversight is complemented by a Bachelor’s degree in Business/Accounting from The University of Texas at Dallas.
