Lergia Olivo

Lergia Olivo, Ed.S., is an accomplished educational professional with extensive experience in teaching and instructional design. Currently serving as an Assistant Teaching Professor and Educational Technology Coordinator at the FIU English Language Institute, Lergia specializes in enhancing English proficiency for international students and has pioneered the development of a fully-online Intensive English Program curriculum. Additional roles include chairing the Education Advisory Board for the City of Miami Springs and serving as a Faculty Fellow at The Honors College of Florida International University, where Lergia teaches seminars on language acquisition and success strategies for incoming students. With a background in instructional design spanning over a decade, Lergia has held various positions at FIU Online, managing course development and quality assurance for online education. Lergia's earlier experience includes developing online training for the Miami-Dade Police Department. Educational qualifications include ongoing PhD studies in Teaching and Learning at Florida International University, a Master’s in Linguistics, and a Graduate Professional Certificate in e-Learning.
