Mark Opitz

Mark Opitz is an experienced city planner and zoning administrator currently serving the City of Middleton, Wisconsin, since June 1999. During this time, Mark Opitz has also held the position of Assistant Planning Director. Prior to this, Mark Opitz worked as a County Supervisor for Dane County from April 1998 to April 2010, where responsibilities included chairing the Public Works and Transportation Committee and participating in various commissions and committees. Mark Opitz's earlier experience includes a role as a Program & Planning Analyst at the Wisconsin Department of Transportation from January 1992 to May 1999. Mark Opitz holds a Master of Science in Urban & Regional Planning from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Bachelor of Arts in Geography from Macalester College.
