Sophia Wendt

Sophia Wendt is an experienced civil and environmental engineer, currently serving as an Assistant Civil Engineer at the City of Milpitas since September 2017, with a focus on utility engineering. Prior experience includes working as an Environmental Engineer at Locus Technologies, concentrating on groundwater remediation and GHG verification, and an internship at Santa Clara Valley Water District, where groundwater monitoring was the main responsibility. Educational background includes a Master’s Degree in Civil & Environmental Engineering and a Bachelor's Degree in General Engineering, both from San Jose State University. Additional roles include a Student Assistant for an upper division environmental engineering course and a Women in Engineering Intern for the MESA program, where Sophia developed outreach initiatives for supporting women in engineering.
