Gina Obiri

Gina Obiri has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Gina started their career in 2007 at Carleton College, where they served as a Residential Director and an Intercultural Peer Leader. In 2011, they worked as a Community Program Specialist and a Research Assistant at the University of Minnesota. Their responsibilities included participant recruitment, data collection, and maintaining professional relationships.

In 2012, Gina worked as a Loan Document Specialist at Wells Fargo, followed by a role as a Health Educator at Ramsey County, Saint Paul - Ramsey County Public Health from 2015 to 2017. Gina then joined the State of Minnesota, Office of Justice Programs, as a Grant Manager from 2018 to 2019. During this time, they managed grants and ensured compliance with funding and reporting requirements.

In 2018, Gina also worked as an Independent Contractor, specializing in grant writing. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Program Manager at the City of Minneapolis's Department of Performance Management & Innovation, starting in September 2019. Overall, Gina's work experience reflects their expertise in program management, grant management, research, and community engagement.

Gina Obiri has a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in Public Health Administration and Policy, with a focus on Health Equity. Gina obtained this degree from the University of Minnesota School of Public Health. Prior to pursuing their MPH, Gina completed their Bachelor of Arts degree at Carleton College, majoring in Economics and Premed.
