Dale Gronberg

Dale Gronberg is a seasoned building official with extensive experience in plan examination and inspection. Since March 2019, Dale has served as the Chief Building Official for the City of Minnetonka. Prior to this role, from August 2006 to March 2019, Dale worked as a Senior Plans Examiner/Inspector at the University of Minnesota, where responsibilities included coordinating design documents and ensuring code compliance for university construction projects. Earlier experience includes serving as a Plans Examiner/Combination Inspector for the City of Brooklyn Park from March 1995 to August 2006, and working as a Carpenter from April 1985 to March 1995. Dale holds a graduate degree in Building Inspection Technology from North Hennepin Community College and a two-year certificate in Electronics Servicing from Hennepin Technical College.
