Joe Lopez

Joseph Lopez, ICMA-CM, has extensive experience in municipal management and human resources. Since January 2012, Joseph has held various positions in the City of Modesto, including City Manager, Deputy City Manager, Director of Administrative Services, and Director of Human Resources. Prior to that, Joseph worked for Sacramento County from September 2006 to January 2012 as a Human Resources Manager I & II and served in the County of Sacramento from August 2000 to September 2006 in roles such as Senior Personnel Analyst and Personnel Analyst. Joseph's educational background includes a Senior Executive Program from Harvard Kennedy School in 2015, a Master of Arts in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from California State University-Sacramento completed in 2004, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from California State University, Chico obtained in 1998.
