David Banks

Chancellor, NYC Department of Education at City of New York

David Banks is the Chancellor of the NYC Department of Education. David is also a book author, writing about their experiences with the Eagle Academy and its students. Prior to their current position, they served as the President & CEO of The Eagle Academy Foundation, Inc. from 2009 to 2021. David was also the Founding Principal of The Eagle Academy for Young Men from 2004 to 2008.

David Banks received their Juris Doctorate from St. John's University School of Law and also attended Rutgers University.
