Mppa Clay Downing

Clay Downing, AICP, currently serves as the Planning Manager and Interim Community Development Director for the City of Newberg since October 2022. Prior experience includes various planning roles within the County of Ventura, where responsibilities included serving as the Climate Action Program Administrator, Associate Planner, and Assistant Planner in different sections of the Resource Management Agency's Planning Division. Earlier career accomplishments involve management positions at Channel Islands Outfitters and The Nature Conservancy, focusing on operations, program development, and community engagement. Clay Downing holds a Master of Public Policy and Administration from California Lutheran University and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Indiana University Bloomington.
