Larry Brunson

Larry Brunson currently serves as the Executive Director for the City of Newport News, focusing on workforce development at the Brooks Crossing Innovation and Opportunity Center. With extensive experience in the field, Brunson has held various roles, including positions on the Board of Directors for the National Association of Workforce Development Professionals and as a Job Placement Coach at Paul D. Camp Community College. Previous roles include Workforce Development Coordinator for the City of Suffolk and Workforce Development Representative for the Commonwealth of Virginia. Brunson also has a background in real estate as the CEO of Pearl Real Estate Development LLC and operational management experience with Cracker Barrel. Brunson holds multiple degrees, including an M.B.A. from the University of Maryland Global Campus, and has certifications in business project management and distance education.
