Vanessa Vaughn

Vanessa Vaughn is a skilled professional currently serving as the Public Works Office Administrator and Grants and Contracts Manager for the City of Oak Ridge since December 2022, following a role as an Environmental Compliance Inspector. Prior to this, Vanessa contributed to the CAC AmeriCorps program as a Stormwater Technician, assisting with site inspections and leading community outreach initiatives. Vanessa's experience includes work as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at The University of Alabama, where responsibilities included specimen organization and fieldwork. Additionally, Vanessa interned at The University of Alabama Arboretum, focusing on invasive species and community education, and completed a summer internship at Zoo Knoxville, where duties involved animal husbandry and guest education.
