Gaye Lynn Ward

Emergency, Communications Manager at City of Oxnard

Gaye Lynn Ward started her career with the Oxnard Police Department in February of 1998 as a Public Safety Dispatcher. In 2004 she became a Communications Training Officer, and four years later, promoted to Dispatch Supervisor (2008).

In addition to her work in the Communications Center, Gaye Lynn has attended the Crisis Intervention Team Academy (CIT) and is a coordinator for the Peer Support Team.

In January of 2020, with 22 years of experience with the Oxnard Police Department, Gaye Lynn was promoted to her current position as the Communications Manager, where she oversees the Dispatch Center which handles an average of over 350,000 calls per year.
