Leanne Exum is an experienced civil engineer with a career spanning over two decades. Currently serving as the City Engineer for the City of Painesville since July 2014, Leanne has previously held positions including Engineer II at Geauga County Engineer from November 2009 to July 2014, Project Engineer at EDP Consultants from June 2007 to September 2008, and Resident Engineer at Lake County Engineer from May 2002 to June 2007. Leanne holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Tri-State University, completed in 2002, and furthered education at The University of Akron from 2012 to 2013.

Settled in 1800, Painesville is the county seat of Lake County, Ohio and is located along the beautiful Grand River, roughly 30 miles northeast of Cleveland. Painesville is home to Lake Erie College, Morley Library and a dynamic historical downtown district. It is named after General Edward Paine who served in the Revolutionary War and settled in the area shortly after. Painesville has a population of over 19,000 per the 2010 census.
