Marilu Zubiri is an experienced finance professional with a diverse background in budgeting and financial analysis. Currently serving as an Accountant/Analyst for the City of Petaluma since May 2007, Marilu is responsible for spearheading the annual development of operating and capital improvement budgets while analyzing and monitoring the City’s budgets throughout the year. Prior to this role, Marilu worked as a Financial Analyst at Homecomings Financial from 1997 to 2006, where responsibilities included developing and maintaining financial and regulatory reports and managing Fixed Asset and Leasehold database systems. Marilu's career began at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco as a Reports Analyst from 1987 to 1997, focusing on processing and analyzing regulatory bank reports. Marilu holds an MBA in Finance from San Francisco State University and a BS in Economics from Universidad del Pacífico (PE).
