Nalani Furumoto

Nalani Furumoto is an emerging public health professional currently serving as a Masters Level Intern in Epidemiology at the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health since May 2023. In this role, Nalani contributes to the evaluation of clinical programs related to the "Ending the HIV Epidemic Initiatives," focusing on enhancing program efficacy and community health outcomes. Nalani also holds a position as Pool Manager and Senior Community Services Leader with the City of Placentia since June 2017, and has experience as a FITWELL Consultant with UCLA Recreation. Previous roles include an internship at the Council on Aging - Southern California and volunteering at St. Joseph Health, where Nalani assisted with data entry for the Stroke Program.
