Sam Greif

Sam Greif, pronounced Gryf, serves as the Deputy City Manager for the City of Plano since November 2021. Prior to this role, Sam Greif held the position of Fire Chief at Plano Fire-Rescue from August 2015 to November 2021 and served as Assistant Fire Chief at the Fort Worth Fire Department from October 1985 to August 2015. Sam Greif holds a Master of Public Administration from The University of Texas at Arlington, a Bachelor of Applied Science from Midwestern State University, and an Associate of Arts and Sciences in Fire Science/Fire-fighting from Delta College. Sam Greif also completed advanced studies at the National Fire Academy.
