Scott Rust

Scott Rust has a diverse work experience, starting in 2015 as an Accounting Intern at Maggard & Hood, P.C. Certified Public Accountants. Scott then served as a Controller at Colorado Northwestern Community College from May 2015 to November 2016, followed by an interim role as Vice President of Business & Administration until January 2017. Scott returned to the Controller position until April 2021. Scott then worked as a Senior Accountant at the City of Rifle from June to December 2018. Scott rejoined Colorado Northwestern Community College as a Controller from July 2019 to April 2021. From January to June 2019, Scott served as a Staff Accountant at Maggard & Hood, P.C. Certified Public Accountants. Starting May 2021, they worked as the Deputy Finance Director at the City of Grand Junction and was later promoted to Director of Finance at the City of Rifle in May 2022.

Scott Rust earned their High School Diploma from Rifle High School in 2008. Scott then attended Colorado Mesa University from 2010 to 2015, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Public Accounting. Scott continued their education at Colorado Mesa University and completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a general field of study from 2013 to 2015.
