Sammy Rich

Sammy Rich, MPA, has extensive experience in municipal management, currently serving as City Manager for the City of Rome, Georgia, since 2006, after holding the position of Assistant City Manager. Prior to this role, Sammy Rich worked as Assistant County Manager for Floyd County Government from June 2002 to December 2006, where responsibilities included overseeing daily operations across various departments within a significant budget and workforce. Earlier in the career, Sammy Rich served as a Comprehensive Planner for Carroll County BOC and as an Urban Planning Engineer III with the Georgia Department of Transportation. Sammy Rich earned a Master of Public Administration with a focus on Land Use Planning and Management/Development from the University of West Georgia between 1999 and 2001.
