Karina Talamantes

Karina Talamantes is a seasoned public servant and small business owner with extensive experience in community engagement and governmental operations. Serving as the Vice Mayor of Sacramento since July 2018, Talamantes oversees a substantial city budget and participates in various boards and commissions, including the Sacramento Public Library Authority and Sacramento Transportation Authority. Talamantes's background includes serving as Chief of Staff to Mayor Pro Tem Angelique Ashby, managing a team while developing city policies and engaging with the community. Additionally, Talamantes has owned Frutazo Stands and served as Community Outreach Manager for the family-owned apparel brand Maldición, focusing on culturally significant experiences.
