Josh Stefancic

Josh Stefancic has a strong background in the field of fire and emergency services. Josh most recently served as Fire Chief for the City of Safety Harbor, starting in June 2018. Prior to that, they held the position of Division Chief for the City of Largo from August 2010 to June 2018. Josh also gained valuable experience as Administrative Lieutenant for the City of Tarpon Springs, starting in May 2007 and ending in August 2010. Earlier in their career, they worked for the Village of Winnetka as a Firefighter/Paramedic & Fire Inspector from January 2002 to August 2007, and for the Village of Wilmette as a Firefighter/Paramedic from August 2001 to December 2005.

Josh Stefancic received their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Fire Protection and Safety Technology from Oklahoma State University in 2001. Josh then went on to earn a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Fire and Emergency Management Administration from Oklahoma State University, completing their studies in 2008. In 2009, Josh attended the National Fire Academy and successfully completed their Executive Fire Officer (EFO) Program. Josh obtained their certification in December 2013. Most recently, from 2016 to 2022, Josh pursued a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree at Florida Gulf Coast University. No specific field of study is mentioned for the MPA program.
