Linda McElroy

Linda McElroy has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Linda started their career as a Public Relations/Special Events Representative at Busch Gardens Williamsburg in 1997 and later joined the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation as a Public Relations Associate in 2000. In 2003, they became a Corporate Communications Specialist at Winsupply before moving on to Henrico County Public Schools as a Public Information Specialist in 2006. In 2007, Linda joined the Richmond Metropolitan Transportation Authority as a PR Manager and then worked as a Public Information Specialist at the Virginia State Bar from 2013 to 2015. Most recently, they served as the Director of Communications at the City of Salisbury from 2015 onwards.

Linda McElroy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania, which they obtained from 1992 to 1996. Linda also completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Marketing at Strayer University from 2005 to 2007. In addition to their formal education, Linda McElroy has obtained certifications including the Media and Public Information Certificate from FBI-LEEDA and the Advanced Public Information Officer certification from FEMA. Linda also holds a CPR/First Aid certification.
