Chris Foerster has a diverse work experience in the field of emergency services. Chris started their career in 2007 as a Captain in the Marion Volunteer Fire Department, where they were responsible for medical/rescue operations, training, and equipment. In 2009, they joined the City of Schertz as a Paramedic, providing medical treatment and transport to the sick and injured. Chris also served as a Preceptor for new hire Paramedics and a Paramedic Field Training Officer. From 2010 onwards, they worked as an Instructor at the Schertz EMS Training Academy, teaching various courses related to EMS, CPR/First Aid, and specialized classes for different organizations. In 2016, they joined Texas A&M Task Force 1 as a Swiftwater Boat Operator. Additionally, they served as a Battalion Chief at the City of Schertz, overseeing operations of multiple units across a large area. Chris also worked as a Logistics Technician at the Southwest Texas Regional Advisory Council from 2020. Throughout their career, Chris Foerster has demonstrated a commitment to providing quality emergency medical services and training.

- In 2016, they obtained a Basic Field Training Officer certificate from the National EMS Management Association.
