Hugo C. Meraz

Hugo C. Meraz, CFP®, is an accomplished Director of Wealth Management at Ultra Financial Partners and Principal at McDowell Mountain Financial, with extensive experience in financial planning and risk management. Since February 2018, Hugo has focused on retirement planning, investment strategies, and wealth transfer solutions. In addition, as Chairman of the Public Safety Personnel Retirement System Local Board for the City of Scottsdale since January 2014, Hugo oversees retirement and benefit eligibility for public safety employees. Previous roles include Sales Director at The Annexus Group, where Hugo significantly increased sales of fixed income annuity products, and various positions in sales and financial advisory, including work with ADP and Mutual of America. Hugo holds a Bachelor’s degree in Justice Studies from Arizona State University and a Certificate in Financial Planning from Bryant University, along with a Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist designation.
