Kimberly Loving MBA, MLS has a diverse work experience spanning across different sectors. Kimberly started their career in 2006 as the Absence Management Program Director at Prince George's County Public Schools. In 2011, they joined DaVita as the Director of Revenue Analytics & Operations, where they successfully transformed an underperforming department.
In 2016, Kimberly joined the City of Seattle as the Deputy Director of HR Operations & Shared Services in the Department of Human Resources. Kimberly was responsible for leading a centralized HR Shared Services division with multiple business units. Kimberly held this role until 2019 when they were promoted to the Chief of Staff for the Seattle Department of Information Technology. In this role, Kimberly provided strategic and operational leadership for various initiatives.
In 2021, they were appointed as the Chief Human Resources Officer for the City of Seattle, where they currently oversee the human resources function and associated departments. Throughout their career, Kimberly has demonstrated leadership, financial management, and workforce development skills.
Kimberly Loving has an extensive education history. Kimberly holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics - International Comparative Policy Studies from Reed College. Kimberly further pursued their education at the American University - Kogod School of Business, where they obtained a Master of Business Administration degree. Additionally, Kimberly obtained a Master of Legal Studies degree from the American University Washington College of Law. Kimberly is currently studying for their Doctor of Education degree in Learning & Organizational Change at Baylor University, which they are expected to complete in 2025. In addition to their academic achievements, Kimberly also possesses a certification in Social and Behavioral Research obtained from the CITI Program in February 2023.
