Greg Hanafin

Greg Hanafin is a dedicated transportation planner currently serving the City of Somerville since July 2022, with prior experience as a planner at CivicMoxie, LLC. Previous roles include working as a transportation intern for the City of Cambridge, where significant contributions were made to multimodal transportation projects and the management of bicycle and pedestrian advisory committees. Additional internships focused on energy management and sustainability within Cambridge's Department of Public Works and public policy analysis for the Environmental League of Massachusetts. Greg's background encompasses program coordination at Earthwatch Institute and leadership in the American Society of Adaptation Professionals. Academic achievements include a Master of Arts in Urban and Environmental Policy and Planning from Tufts University and a Bachelor’s Degree with a double major in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology and Anthropology from the University of Michigan.
