Laura Horton, CPHR, B.Ed, has over 20 years of diverse experience in human resources and education, currently serving as the Manager of Workforce Strategies & Development at The City of St. Albert since October 2009. In this role, Laura leads organization-wide training and development initiatives, utilizing expertise in needs assessment, program planning, administration, facilitation, and evaluation. Previous positions include Claims Coordinator and Human Resources Assistant with the City of St. Albert, along with early career experience as a Teacher across various school divisions. Laura's educational background includes a CMML Certificate in Municipal Management and Leadership from the University of Alberta, a Certificate in Adult & Continuing Education, and a B.Ed. in History and French.
