Robert Myers

Robert Myers has a diverse work experience in budgeting, financial planning, and operations. Robert is currently the Budget and Financial Planning Director at the City of St. George. Prior to this role, they were the Budget Director at the City of North Richland Hills, where they developed, managed, and monitored the operating and capital budgets. Robert also partnered with city departments to address budget and financial issues. Before that, Robert worked at the City of Grand Prairie as the Purchasing Manager, responsible for overseeing the city's procurement process and resolving contract and vendor issues. Robert also held roles as a Senior Financial Analyst and Financial Analyst, where they played key roles in the annual budget process and analyzed expenditures. Robert began their career as an Operations Intern at the Denton County Transportation Authority, where they gained experience in budgeting, procurement, and general administration.

Robert Myers obtained their Master's of Public Administration degree in City Management/Public Finance from the University of North Texas, where they studied from 2008 to 2010. In addition to their academic qualifications, they have completed several certifications. In 2017, they obtained the New and Emerging Finance Director Graduate certification from the North Central Texas Council of Governments. In 2013, they graduated from the Grand Prairie Leadership Academy. Prior to that, in 2012, they completed the Grand Prairie Management Academy program. In 2011, they graduated from the Grand Prairie Citizen's Police Academy.
