Natalia Allen

Natalia Allen is an experienced educator and leader with a diverse professional background in social studies and curriculum development. Currently serving as a Social Studies Teacher, Academic Instructor, and Curriculum Specialist with Miami-Dade County Public Schools since February 2016, Natalia actively contributes to educational improvement. As Board Chair of the Broward County Racial Equity Task Force and Chairperson for the City of Sunrise Education Advisory Board, leadership roles emphasize a commitment to equity in education. Previous experiences include positions at ICW Global as a Web Developer, where proposals targeted youth engagement through social media, and extensive teaching roles at Citizen Schools and City Year, focusing on tutoring and mentoring. With a Bachelor of Journalism and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Missouri-Columbia, a Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Miami, and currently pursuing a Doctor of Education at the University of Miami, Natalia Allen combines hands-on teaching expertise with a strong academic foundation.
