Melanie Harding is an experienced public administrator with a robust background in policy analysis and community engagement. Currently serving as the Assistant to the City Manager and Chief Policy Analyst to the Mayor in Tacoma, Melanie has played a critical role in supporting mayorial initiatives and improving decision-making processes. Previous positions include Employment Standards Program Manager, where a nationwide model for paid sick leave and minimum wage enforcement was developed, and Management Analyst in Puyallup, leading complex special projects and stakeholder negotiations. With a Master's degree in Public Administration from the University of Colorado Denver and additional education from prestigious institutions including Harvard University, Melanie combines strong academic credentials with extensive practical experience in municipal governance and community relations.
