Dan Swallow

Dan Swallow, AICP MPA, currently serves as the City Manager for the City of Tecumseh, Michigan, a role held since December 2015, where responsibilities include overseeing daily city operations and managing multiple departments. Prior to this position, Dan worked as the Director of Economic and Community Development for the City of Monroe, Michigan, from January 2011 to December 2015, focusing on business recruitment and downtown revitalization while managing a staff of nine. Dan also held the position of Director of Planning and Economic Development at the Charter Township of Van Buren from June 2002 to January 2011, overseeing the Developmental Services Department and a team of six. Dan’s educational background includes a Master of Public Administration in Land Planning from Eastern Michigan University and a Bachelor of Arts in Zoology from Miami University.
