George Tzavaras

Facilities Manager - Business Transformation & Technology, Parks Forestry And Recreation at City of Toronto

George Tzavaras has extensive experience in facilities management and community programming, currently serving as Facilities Manager for Business Transformation & Technology in the Parks, Forestry and Recreation division of the City of Toronto since September 1990. Previously held roles include Facilities Supervisor, overseeing budget and staffing compliance in the Scarborough District, and Community Recreation Programmer, where responsibilities included programming recreational activities. Additionally, George served as President of the Board of Directors at Selwyn Community Child Care Centre and worked as Health and Safety Coordinator for CUPE Local 79, developing comprehensive health and safety programs. Early career experience includes serving as a Policy Analyst for the Government of Ontario's Ministry of Housing. George holds a PPA degree in Political Science from York University and additional qualifications in Public Policy and Administration, Constitutional Law, and Economics from DeGroote School of Business at McMaster University.
