Brandon Hicks, PE, currently serves as the Director of Transportation & Engineering for the City of Tumwater since November 2016, where responsibilities include overseeing civil engineering and public works projects, particularly those funded by federal or state programs. Prior roles include City Engineer, managing the Engineering Division, and Transportation Manager, coordinating the planning and operation of the City’s transportation systems. Hicks has previous experience as a Construction and Engineering Support Manager at Thurston County Public Works, managing the Engineer Construction Section, and as a Staff Engineer and Project Manager at Materials Testing and Consulting, Inc., focusing on geotechnical projects. Early in the career, Hicks served as an Engineering Technician and Construction Crew Foreman. Brandon Hicks holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Saint Martin's University and an Associate of Science from Centralia College.
