Brendan Moore has a diverse work experience in various roles and positions. Brendan started their career at The University of Alabama as a Graduate Teaching Assistant from January 2007 to May 2008. After that, they joined the City of Tuscaloosa, where they held multiple positions over the years. Brendan served as a Planner from October 2008 to September 2010, then became the Land Use Controls Manager from September 2010 to July 2012. Following that, they worked as the Development Ombudsman from July 2012 to October 2013 and as the Director of the Office of Economic Development from October 2013 to February 2016. Brendan was then promoted to Executive Director of the Office of Urban Development from February 2016 to March 2022. Currently, they hold the position of Project Lead, Elevate Tuscaloosa, and Chief Operations Officer at the City of Tuscaloosa, starting in April 2019 and March 2022, respectively.
Brendan Moore holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Geography with a focus on Urban Planning from The University of Alabama. Brendan obtained this degree between the years 2006 and 2008. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) in American Studies from the same university, which they earned from 2000 to 2005. Brendan has not obtained any additional certifications outside of their formal education.
