AJ Johnson has over three decades of experience in municipal management, currently serving as City Manager for the City of Urbandale since July 2009. Prior to this role, AJ held the position of City Manager in Montevideo, Minnesota, from October 1985 to February 1989, and was involved with the City of Muscatine from March 1989 to June 2009. AJ holds a Master of Public Administration from Drake University, earned between 1979 and 1981, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from Wartburg College, completed in 1979.
